The donor must be the relative of the patient and have blood group compatibility with the patient. If the blood group is not compatible, the patient needs to undergo Plasmapheresis therapy before kidney transplant. Documentary evidence for the relationship between the donor and the patient is to be submitted along with the evidence of identity and residence of the proposed donor. Suitable donors should in the age groups of 18-65 years, have no operation before, no disease history before. Only after the approval by the embassy in Delhi and government authorization committee approves the donor, will the transplant take place.
